This fall, an exciting D2 course will be offered through CSD, “Communication Differences and Disorders in the Media” (CSD025).
In this course, students analyze how the media portrayal of individuals with communication differences and disorders influences our perceptions and opinions of such individuals. Through guest speakers, shared experiences, classroom discussions, and the viewing of popular films, students become aware of how images from the media promote both positive and negative perceptions and shape our understanding.
The class will meet on Mondays from 12-3 in Pomeroy Hall, room 304. Come be a part of the impactful discussions!
