As a Financial Services Representative with Barnum Financial Group, you’ll work with clients to help them find solutions to their financial challenges by recommending appropriate products and services. Working side-by-side with experienced professionals, you’ll be part of a team who will guide you as you learn the business. You’ll have access to a host of tools, resources, and training to develop and sharpen your skills.
Responsibilities
Prospecting, networking and obtaining clients through various methods and strategies
Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients
Providing financial solutions for clients through fact gathering and needs analyses
Expanding personal knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and joint work with fellow associates
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills
Presentation and organizational skills
Strong work ethic, self-motivated and goal-oriented
BA, BS, and/or graduate degree or equivalent work experience required

AdvisorPro Training Program
The training is broken up into 2 years and is incorporated into the day to day when you first start as a Financial Services Representative.
Year One – Becoming a Generalist
3 days/week, 8-10 hours of classroom training
hands on, role play, learn products/services/broken up into modules
2- 15 week sessions (topics like business management, business marketing, financial planning, investments, risk management, etc)- taught by our specialists/experts.
Done via video conference in satellite offices, face to face in Shelton, CT (HQ)
Year Two – Becoming a Specialist
Segmented Training based on major chosen: 1x/week
